Dominique Eelbo is autodidact, born French parents, he starts with 17 years, his voyages around the world. In 1980, he lives in Vienna in Austria or a Hungarian Master teach him the art of enamelling.
Dominique assembles his own workshop immediately and, with other artists, founds the artisanal fair of “Spittelberg, as well as the monthly market Art of “Heilingenkreuzhof” which will become Am-Hof in the center of Vienna.
Living the Eighties with the accesses of the National park of Lobau, it is influenced by this exuberant nature, and creates objects, seeking strange forms, unknown textures, unreal reasons, bright colors. A Austrien vitralist Master reveals a part of his technique of stained glass , which will give him the idea to amalgamate these two Arts and to create the “Vitremaux”.
In 1990 he lives with his partner and their three children in the mountains of the south of Colombia , in San-agustin, they buy there a farm and renovate it, they have horses, and cultivate bananas, coffee, sugarcane , they establish there also the fame pizzeria Santa-Catalina and manage it.
Seven years later all the family is installed in Cartagène on the shore of the Caribbean sea, this will be the discovery of the painting craftand which will open the doors of the expositions in the town. In their coffee-shop, the famous Abaloa, they become acquainted with the local artists and the travellers of all nacionality
In 1999 it leaves Cartagène, and, whereas its family returns to Europe, he begins to travel again and discover the South of continent and recover during several years, the countries of Central America .
The year 2002 signs a
return in Europe, the search for fairs and Artisanaux markets, thus
that the difficult search of exhibitions.
In 2005 Dominique founds the Association of assistance for childreens education “Octambul”
He travels between
Colombia and Europe where he exposes on the artisanal markets and the biofairs,
paintings, photographs and jewels out of natural
materials like Vegetal Ivoiry and seeds
